ONLY DREAMERS ARE ACHIEVERS

In the movie Kunta Kinte there was a scene where the slaves planned to take over the ship from their captive so that they can change the direction of the ship to their home. Though their plan was not successful i was struck by the power they portrayed for their dream which was to get back home.
Their dream gave them a lot of energy which they channeled to change they desire for their future.

Your dream will determine your future, without a dream of your own you will be pulled by many other enticing dream that aren’t yours.

Everyone should have a dream and not everyone’s dream is yours.

Your dream will determine your destination and you need to dream big. There
is no crime in not dreaming big but there is a crime to your destiny when you fail to dream.

The dream you have for your future will always determine the decisions you take; for every step you want to take you need to ask yourself the effect of that decision on your future and dream. There have been times i have wanted to take some decisions as a youth but I considered my future and dream and this has propitiated me from taking some steps that would have derailed me.

Your dream will cost you and it will take some sacrifices from you; your dream will take away some of your desires. Your current situation might want to prevent you from dreaming big but make up your mind to, most people are scared of everything including their dreams.

People give different reasons why they don’t dream or dream big and one of their major reason is Fear. Everyone has fears but if you keep worrying over your dream instead of taking steps you will have a worried future, your dreams are like the airplane’s propeller they keep you moving. You will have to learn to fall and move, your falling does not mean you are a failure. You have just learnt another step that won’t give you a favorable result in the future.

Everyone is important and no one’s dream is greater than others, like my mentor Pastor Sam Adeyemi will say we are all created to shine and we all should shine. It is your dream that will make you shine and it is your responsibility to find out your purpose and the dream you have of yourself concerning your future. Constantly ask yourself, what do I want to be remembered for? And what do I need to do so that I can be remembered?

Fear is a limitation and fear is the opposite of Faith, it has been discovered that most successful men in the world have a strong faith on something and most is usually their God. Have Faith in God, God has not given you that dream with fear as a supporter.
It is normal to have fears and be anxious but instead for you to allow the fear control you; show that you are smarter by challenging that fear and adding it as a resource for your moving forward.

You can overcome that fear by imagining and thinking of the benefits and results of your dream. The benefits will definitely outweigh your fear. Nelson Mandela was a man of dreams and he said your dreams are almost impossible until you get there. That fear will always come but you need to overcome it.

As the youth of today we should realize that Fear won’t take you nowhere but your dream will take you somewhere which is always to the top. Have faith in God as you walk towards your dream

VALUE YOURSELF

Self-worth is simply the value you have for yourself; the worth you subconsciously place on yourself. You can either value yourself high or value yourself low; this is what we call high self-esteem or low self-esteem. High self-esteem increases your confidence and this most leaders have itemized as part of the skills they possess. Many atimes employers look out for confidence in applicants and sometimes even the smartest and most intelligent doesn’t get the job because of lack of confidence. In our culture, most especially in Nigeria most of the youth and teenagers have grown believing that it is our heritage to have the limitations we encounter; the society, friends and neighbors never forget to remind us that it is normal to go through some of the things we go through in life. Things like poverty, violence, rape; parents reprimand the rape victims to keep quiet that it is better to keep quiet than voice out because of the society a
